About me:

Hi! I am Shadé Olver, the founder of babl.. Growing up, my life has been filled with the joy of working with and being surrounded by little ones. Thanks to the wonderful impact of my mother's big heart, I can proudly say that I am one of eleven beautifully diverse children - a family perfectly knitted together by God. 

​

As a teen I was certain I wanted to work with children. After studying teaching and working full-time as a teaching intern for three years, I decided to take a break to reconsider my career choice. During this time, I au paired for some wonderful families. It was then that I discovered the joy of giving – giving time, love, and special gifts. It all started with sewing a doll for my friend's little girl, and from then on, I just knew.

Being able to work with my hands and do what I love every day is a thrill. Seeing the joy it brings to the special ones in my life is the absolute cherry on top! I look forward to using the knowledge of childhood development that I have gained and combining it with my creative side to bring this same joy to your little ones too. My dream for babl. is that it becomes a beloved business for all. Although babl. is currently run from a cozy room in my apartment, my vision is to grow, spread joy, and be able to collaborate with other talented local ladies.
